The best opening day I have ever had at Silver. Took my friend Jay along and fished from 7:30am to 5:00pm. I caught a total of 37 rainbows and jay caught only 9??? We caught and released almost all fish but ended keeping each our five biggest fish of the day. I brought home 5 rainbows from 15-16inches and fat! Jay brought home 4 13 inch bows and a 17 inch cutt. Most of the fish I released were 12-13 inches. We did best trolling a size 1 pink and white dick nite, long flat-lined with no weight. Just a dick nite and 4lb test line between a husky 16 inch rainbow's mouth and my 7' Lamaglas ultralite. YEE-HA! Also caught fish on flatfish, roostertails, wedding ring & worm, and tossing 1/8th oz brass or rainbow colored kastmaster spoons while anchored up. Kastmaster's accounted for the bigger fish. Saw a anchored bait dunker catch a 4lb triploid while I trolled by.
