Fished the Area up near Riverbend with Dwayne Parsons for the first time. Took me awhile to find fish and we had to wait out a nasty little thunderstrom and shower, but after it was safe to get out of the protested spot we found we managed to get into some fish.I threw a lot differant baits but the only thing I could get a hit on were the basstrix swimbaits. I got some 24" to 28" fish all on the Lennier herring color or the Trout color. Found some really cool spots too. We found all the fish in slack water about 57 deg. or more and less then 5 ft deep. most were in about 3 ft. I got 5 fish to the boat and lost a too one really nice one. Dwayne got fish in the boat also so it was a good day. We had a cool bonus of a beaver what let us get within about 8 feet of him and it just looked at us. I made a video of him. Never seen one up that close before so that was very interesting. I plan to go back up to this area again soon to fish.
