And again the Castello boat comes up empty handed. Saturday morning the tides, weather and sand shrimp were all perfect for a little sturgeon action on the Snohomish but the fish still did not come out to play. We launched in Marysville at around 9:00 and were on the hook by 9:30 or so. We fished most of the flood tide. We did have two takedowns but did not put the hook in either fish. A very large sturgeon jumped right alongside the boat so that was worth the trip just seeing this huge fish crash back into the water up close. Other than no fish it was a great day on the water and we were back home by 4:00 to set grape pergola posts, one of the current home projects.
