6/12/2011 11:30:00 AMWhere do you guys fish on the Pend Oreille River?In Washington or Idaho?Because on the Wa state in the 2011 fishing pamphlet it say close waters.I'm living in Seattle area and i wanna make a fishing trip there.Can anyone tell me where you can fish and if is there a camping ground close by with a boat lunch?Thanks

6/12/2011 11:39:00 AMboldasu I believer there is camping in the newport area or Cusick... And there are launches there as well. Fish the sloughs and weed beds.

6/21/2011 2:40:00 PMJust an update for you Boldasu, the river is open waters the only closed waters are the sloughs except Calispell which requires a tribe license.
The following is taken from the fishing pamphlet 2011.
"CLOSED WATERS - all sloughs within the boundaries of the Kalispel reservation, except Calispell Slough.
WDFW and Kalispel tribal licenses required to fish Calispell Slough."
Hope this helps clarify things a bit.
