Fished the Sky today in the dropping water. Water level was around 9500 when we got there, 8400 when we left. Started the day below Lewis St. and saw a few fish moving as well as 1 landed. My buddy got a real nice dolly down near the Snoho, it was pushing 3 pounds (the pick makes it look smaller, but it was very thick). That was fun and a good start to the day. After a few more drifts and getting sick of the crowd downriver we went up to a favorite hole of mine up near the Sultan. Stopped for a P break and let the dog run around, first drift after the break BAM really hot springer hit and the fight was on, got it to the net, a nice thick fish around 7 lbs. Fished a while longer, hooked and released a cutthroat and another smolt. Also missed a few more short bites. All in all a very good day. Sand shrimp was the winner today, outpreformed eggs hands down.

Good luck out there.

You can't keep Kings on the Snoho so if you are after Chinook I would suggest going up to the Sky. I know people like to plunk right at the Ben Howard boat launch and also the Cracker bar across from the mouth of the Sultan. I would suggest trying the cracker bar, there was not one bankie there today when we went through the area around noon.

Yah you definitely want to use a spin-n-glo, we were freedrifting from a boat, so we used drift gear. I dunno if we are going to go up that far tomorrow, but if we do I will stop by. Add a few beads below your spin n glo so it spins properly, also try sandshrimp/egg combo.

Good luck.

Yeah, I'm trying to decide where to go tomorrow. Not sure if I'm up to takin the Willie in the river just yet, might find somewhere to bank it. Or see if there's anything going on in the snoho...
