Ok so yesterday was just the warmup for todays outing. We hit the water late (tired from yesterday) and were fishing by 9. First pass I am fairly certain we hooked the SAME dolly varden from yesterday, roughly 24" about 3 or 4 lbs. Good fight!! Almost bonked it just for the fact that it was stupid enough to hit out gear two days in a row! lol. Next drift a nice cutthroat around 16" or so, released. Next drift, nothing. Next drift, 8 lb chrome springer, nicer than yesterday. Follwowing few drifts resulted in a downriver steely about 7 lbs and a nice chrome hatchery fish for the box. We were in the right place at the right time today!! All fish caught within an hour (once the bite turned on), then after the last steelhead no more fish for the day. My buddy hooked one briefly later on but it didn't stick. The wind kicked up and made it difficult to hit out drift properly. Off the water by 2:30pm.
Good luck out there.
