I fished from first light at the Sultan on the highway side all the way to Reiter. It was a full day of it.
I hiked through the jungle at the farm in the morning. That was a kick. I swear I'm buying a machete soon, it was ridiculous. I got really excited because I hooked a decent Chinook, it ran, tried to twist around branches, jumped into the bushes, nearly got lost and finally got tired out and I get it up close to me, ready to be netted and run my hand down its back to find a big dumbo ear adipose fin. Darn. It looked to be a good size, was a deep hen and I unhooked it and revived it and sent her on her way.
Caught nothing but a big giant sucker fish at the mouth of the wallace. The guy I ended up fishing next to at reiter caught two kings right before I got there and then left, because I didn't see him while I was there.
By the time I got to Reiter I must have been tired, because I hooked two fish, and proceeded to lose two fish to bad hooksets. One other fish hooked and another landed. It was a slow day today.
Fished eggs, hardware yarn, corky and worked real hard for it, but the fish won today. I'll be on the Wynoochee tomorrow, we'll see what happens.
