Got off work around 1:30pm today and had the boat in the water at Rotary park by around 4:30pm or so. Lines in the water by 5pm, quit by 6:45pm. Hooked 10 pinks, landed 7 of them. Biggest was a toadly of a male, probably around 8-9lbs, put up quite a tussel on my Okuma SST kokanee rod with 6lb mainline, lol. Hooke that big one on my first cast, proceeded to hook about 3 or so fish ever 15-20 minutes till we were bored of it and left for home. Fished exclusively with twiched jigs about a mile above the mouth of the Pilchuck. The fish are everywhere throughout the river, doesn't really matter where you anchor up. Lots of bankies getting em.

Go get 'em!

Kingfisher, yeah there is a jighead stuffed up inside that hoochie skirt. LOL

i kept 3 hens for the smoker/for the eggs. My buddy kept a few chrome males for the table. Fish are going in the smoker this afternoon (they went straight from the fillet board to the brine).

nice rig ... you ever try add'n 1 of those lil wire/spinner deals to it ?
would make it look like a little spinnerbait...spins with current or crank'n ..helicopters when it falls...i've used it with some fly thingys i've made ...the inside of the blade (cup'd side) painted bright colors/UV seemed to help in dirtier water...i like brass 'n copper

Matt- good point :) This is what happens when life is at its finest and fishing is a daily routine instead of a FINE and RARE PLEASURE some of us enjoy. Maybe compare it to a nice aged 20 year single malt with a small splash of cold water to bring out the flavor.
Please keep in mind my envy meter has been burned up already while mostly sitting at work the past (fil in the xxs) XXX months living vicariously thru the members/posters here.
Did get to sneak out to the Puke tho and meet Nate briefly for some bright smokers. Wife wasn't too happy with the idea of 0 dark:30 rendezvous before work. But hey, it is a FINE and RARE PLEASURE at least for me. Maybe becoming a bit RARER waking the family on the way out (oops).
OK carry on and get back out there reporting more catches 'n stuff. Love all the reports from everyone, even the unsuccessful ones.

Knot, I would love to share that belt of scotch with you. That sounds superb, my friend! Start putting that wife on the back burner and get out there and fish for god sake man!!!

Haha, just playin' bro. We should fish together sometime if you find an available day, there is always room on my boat for you, my friend.
