Started the day off just below the lewis street bridge to try to get into some humpys but we quickly found that there was nothing there and packed up and went to another spot which was behind the prison and tossed just a plain ol pink jig and 3rd cast fish on. Fought it till i could see it then the hook popped off and the next few cast fish on again and got this one to shore but my buddy grabbed it from the tail and took the hook out and the fish gave one last wiggle for freedom and the fish was gone. Took about half hour till the next hook up and i landed it myself but was very small talkin about 12" so back it went and no fish after that one was let go. Still glad to get out and fish and catch my first pink this year but will be chasing kings tomorrow on the skoke.

I think the sky is closed for salmon retention, better double check.

LeviP- I was just tossin a plain jig no float.

MARK & MALLARD- I fish the sky many times a year and follow all the rules and i was fishing in the area where i can retain salmon so please read my report again before you accuse me of breaking rules.
