Took a fellow wa. lake member and friend to the Snohomish to see how things are setting up with the Pinks. Got there around 11:00 am. I think the tide was just about at slack tide. First 35 min. or so, nothing was going on. I thought it was going to be one of those days of taking a friend somewhere,,, and oh well.. "Ya, I swear it is good fishing here" Once the tide picked up and on the outgoing flow, the fishing picked up. Throwing Pink Maribou jigs, and pink plasticy hootchie looking crap, I went 4 for 12. Maribou jigs I was using were made with crappy hooks that kept bending, lost a few fish to that. The friend took home 3 also. To me this is a perfect time on the river. On a weekday, mid-day, there is plenty of room, and the fish were happening.
( Ok.. now that I reported on the mild crowd,, the place will get all over run. Shootin' myself in the foot I suppose) Lets just say I was WAY upriver, somewhere near the top of the mountain.
