Another day on the Puker and it was a good one. Lots of room not many people and loads of fish. It was nice to fish around people who all knew what they are doing for once. Managed to landed alot of fish atleast 15+ and lost more, kept 4. The fish were on the smaller side but were very bright and lots of sea lice on the butt end. There were so many fish at times you could feel them hitting your main line as you drifted down. Also saw one silver landed.
Same color as yesterday green corkie and chartreuse yarn with shrimp or egg scent. Found a new secret to add to my presentation that seemed to be killing them. With it on i was getting fish every cast and when i finally broke off i switched to my standard and things slowed down. At one point i wasnt getting anything so i went back to the new presentation and it was lights out again. I was hitting fish when everybody else was ice cold. Gonna have to test it further.
Word of warning a lower section of the river will be closed on Sunday/Monday for the indians to net. All those people who fish down there are gonna move upstream so its gonna be crowded.
Some nice person filled my cooler up with ice to! I got back to my truck, popped open my cooler to toss the fish in and what do ya know it had ice in it. Thanks mystery person.
