Got out late afternoon of opening day. Lots of boaters trying to reach shore. The launch area is quite narrow here only the single lane ramp and beach space for two ?boats at a time. One bonus of coming out in the afternoon is finding close parking after patiently helping others and then taking my turn at the launch. I found out long ago to have a set of hipboots 2 sizes large (just for use at boat launches). Extra size makes getting on and off quick and easy and putting my boat on the trailer is quick and easy with the shallow wadding and I stay dry. The fishing here was good but their small in size. Trolling a Dicknight red and white small spoon no weight trolled fast #4 on my minkota and 40 pulls out did the trick. Pinched the barb and spent time releasing these small planters. Some short and long releases. Jumping fiesty little fish. Lots of fun and sun. Usually go to Sunlakes for opener (Blue or Deep). Looking forward to reports from there.
