I couldn't sleep last night so I decided what the heck, might as well go fishing. I sure am glad that I did. I have stopped by the snohomish a couple times under the tressel (highway 2) lowell park and langus park and have not had any luck or seen much caught but from the reports on here I must just be hitting it at the wrong time. Fish were caught all day long, I got my first fish within 30 minutes of fishing and second pink that I kept 15 minutes later. I fished behind K-mart, more towards the bridge. I fished for 6 or so hours, landed another 6 and released them all unharmed after my second fish I changed to just 2 small orange or pink corkies after watching a couple guys do really well with this method. I only saw lines crossed one time within 50 yards of me, everyone was courteous and I really enjoyed fishing this river, definately going to have to go back. around 1 the guy next to me caught a nice bright king pushing 15 lbs, that got my blood pumping even if I did not catch the fish. I am new to this "combat fishing" but I definately did not have a bad experience. I went through a little dry slump for about a hour and a guy next to me came over and showed me that I was missing bumps on just about every cast, after this I felt a lot more head shakes it just took a little more hook sets that I was ignoring before. Tomorrow I am going out on the sound from edmonds with my uncle, I will let you guys know how it goes. The salmon went on the BBQ, I was not a big fan but my roomates all enjoyed it and the 2 fish I kept were hens so I got some eggs curing also :)
Ps sorry for not posting about my not so exciting trips on the snohomish but I felt as if they were not very informative since I had nothing to report
