Hit the Snohomish out of Lowell around 5:00pm . Had three on the stringer - all in a matter of 15 minutes around 6:00 . Had the fourth on and as I was netting it.....snap,,,, my rod broke. The fish was still on and I started hauling it in by hand--- as it got to the kayak, I looked behind me and saw my net floating.. went to grab it and by that time the 4th was gone. I had one hook up that was very cool. The fish hit and went strait down, as I started reeling in, it bolted out of the water- strait up. I swear it was at least four feet out of the water. I have seen lots of pinks splash and jump a little, but never with so much hang time. Would have rated it a four if it weren't for the broken rod.
