Went to the Duwamish by the spokane street bridge. Out in a little battery powered jon boat with 2 guys. Got there about 5am, and started fishing as soon as we could. Slow morning, couple of hookups, nothing in the boat. First fish we could have landed was foul hooked, so we sent him back as quickly as possible(never got him out of the water, removed hook and got him swimming quickly). Next hook up ended up being a king, got him to the surface and BAM! snapped my line (I was using 8lb test on a 12lb rod). After a few hours I finally hooked into a nice buck. Good fight, had fun! Landed him clean. After that it was no bites for awhile. We would get one snagged every once and awhile, but we were careful not to set the hook so they could get away easy. After 11 hours (yes, 11 hours) we had 1 fish. we are about to leave when a family we had chatted with earlier in the day comes over to us and tells us to take the spot they are leaving from, because they limitted easily. We motor over there and end up limitting (7 more fish) in about an hour.
