Another great fishing trip on the Snohomish River! This morning I had the pleasure of taking two of my friends from work out with me. Chris, from East TN had lots of fishing experience but had never caught a salmon before, and Mark, a long time pink salmon slayer. We managed 9 very nice fish, still very bright and a few with sea lice still on them in the 4 to 5.5 pound range. We lost at least as many as we landed and had a great time. I forgot the camera so we used Chris’ camera phone. I’m awaiting the pics via email. I did take a pic of five of our fish, filleted and ready for the brine to be smoked with cherry wood tomorrow. We casted the tried and true pink jigs in the same spot where we caught all of our fish week before last. Still lots of fish jumping and fining out there and they are in great shape. Hope to get back out there again next weekend before the run ends.
