I have been going to Waughop the last couple mornings and getting nothing. Not one bite, until today about noon. I have tried everything GI Joes sells. Today, I used a bobber and a dab of rainbow powerbait under a short nightcrawler. Just enough to cover the hole hook. The hook dangling about 5 feet under the bobber. I got several bites. The bobber would disappear, but the fish soft bite, so by the time I could pull back and reel, the fish was gone with my powerbait. About the 5th time I was ready and as soon as the bobber started the dive, I pulled back and hooked that bugger, this time. Great fight. That fish had lots of energy. I lost hime at the bank. He was probably about 12" and meaty. Darnit anyway. But it was fun! That was the last bite I got. I left about 3pm.
