Ahh,
First day out. May1,2005. Hit Tanwax about 1p.m. A little later than normal.The wife and I spent a few hours of quality time together.Still surprising to me how many vehicles in the parking lot without the little yellow tags!! Quite a few boats on the lake. Shot straight out from the launch to the North end of the lake. About half hour in the wife hooked and landed a nice 1 lb triploid. Then a very nice perch 9 1/2". Then a very polite water skier decided to make its presence known. (On opening weekend?) thanks inconsiderate boater!! I would really like the homeowners on this lake to take a stand and set up a skiing time, like Ohop for instance, would be fabulous! Anyhow, a little later hooked and caught a nice 20" triploid on a red and white crappie stinger, tipped with a maggot and a little Pautzke's salmon egg.Went home with three fish in a few hours. All in all a nice day on the lake. Everyone at the launch had fish. Looked like a crawdads' paradise. Hopefully soon I find the crappies. Tight lines to all. Peace.
