My 9 year old daughter and I took the day off from school and work. We hit the river around noon. Fish were jumping, but not with too much consistency. I was floating eggs under a bobber and got the take-down. I handed the rod off to my girl and grabbed the net. Surprisingly, it didn't fight much. After practicing on the pinks, my daughter handled it with ease. Her first Coho! (a good sized hatchery hen, full of eggs) We left shortly thereafter.
