Well, looks as though the trout fishing on the Spokane is heating up. Selective gear only, No bait on many sections of this river. Barbless hooks. Brother in law and I headed down. Current is medium. We hit the seems with our slip bobber and jig. It was the ticket today. Caught 6 very nice bows. All fish were returned to water to live and grow and fight another day.

Nice! I'll have to give that a try. I haven't fished the Spokane yet this year, so it must be time. Thanks.

I just moved back to spokane and I am trying to figure out the river. Would you be interested in taking me with you or meeting me at the river? I really want to find a spot to fish bobbers. I am all about catch and release. email or call me 208-874-7799 or kdeife@live.com

Hey, you wont know if no1 tells you. It is actually illegal to remove any fish from the water that you intend to release. seems dumb, huh? but really, i dont mind a nice photo. the problem is, that your hand is in the gills. next time, avoid that at all costs so i can give you a pat on the back for being a good fish handler!

I appreciate that your making the effort and having some sucess, but lets keep the health and impact on these fish as low as possible. a mesh or rubber net will be your best friend.
