Got To Clear lake at about 8 am and were trying to catch some bass but were having no luck my freind decided to try for trout around 10:30 within 5 minutes he got a 17 inch triploid. So ofcourse i switched to trout fishing too by 1:00 we each had our limit on triploids ranging from 16 to 20 inches I mean there were no small ones even caught. We talked to a few anglers, and 1 to three trout is what they had caught all day. They all were either using worms or trolling we weren't that's all I can say. Around 12:00 we stopped on some random dock to stretch and I took a few casts into the pads with a panther martin frog thinking I would get nothing and wam a huge bass just nailed it, looked around 16 - 18 inches I was using 6 pound test so it broke after about 30 seconds of trying to get it in. So if anybody catches good size bass with a plastic frog in it's mouth report it I want that lure back. Fun lake and I know theres some big bass out there so i'll be back.
