Not sure if it was the best idea, but Dad and I headed to the Skykomish on Sunday (1/15/2012). The drive in to Reiter was pretty sweet, with the trees all over the road and bent over into the road. It was a little cold and there was only about 6 inches of snow on the ground and miniature icebergs floating down river, but other than that, no biggie. Threw nightmare jigs, pink woolie jigs, pink marabou jigs, and orange shrimp look-a-like jigs at those darn finnicky fish. Unfortunately, there weren't any takers for my dad or I. Guy across the river caught 1 while we were there. No other fish seen hooked. But the scenery was gorgeous with snow falling all morning. Probably should have hit the slopes, but had the urge to catch a fish. Ya'll know how that goes :)
