Took my first fishing trip to the skookumchuck last thursday with some advice from natetreat. The fishing was the hottest steelhead action I have seen other than fishing on the grande ronde. I caught 8 steelhead and easily lost just as many. Most of my fishing was done at corner hole or also known as big bend hole up by the deadline at the dam. Almost all of the fish caught were bright, the first one I caught was not bright at all but it also was my first steelhead that I have caught in 2012(I have been working a lot and when I am not working I have been golfing, i guess I forgot what a rush the tug of a steelhead is like and man it is a rush!) Once again I am hooked, the golf clubs are back in the closet and the fishing rods are being prepped nightly even though it pretty late in the season.
