Bottom Line, Very crowded, tons of fish. People not allowed to go past hatchery hole, because of the guy who put up all the barbed wire and no trespassing signs. got to the hatchery hole at 2am, fishin started at 4am. nothing for a half hour, for anyone. then a giant bite came on, i saw literally 40 kings hooked from 4-6am. Then it died and was slow, and a few more hooked later, mostly by flossers. I hooked 6 kings today. 5 on fire cured eggs. Lost 3 of those, and released 2 wild chinook both about 8 pounds. Then later in the morning I threw on a B.C Steel spoon and 2nd cast a nice 8-9lb bronze hatchery king nails it, and i get to take one home. Incredibly crowded with people, incredibly stacked with fish. Saw natetreat on the river! HE lost one while we were then we had to leave.

About 20 minutes after you left, I proceeded to hook and cracker or break off on 5 more fish. After that the bite died for good. I went 0/6 in a half hour! You just missed the afternoon bite.

The big one I hit was really quite fun. I was pretty sure there was no way to get him in, so I wasn't too bummed about it. He did some fantastic aerials and ran upstream. The neat thing was I saw the line going straight into his mouth, so I knew he wouldn't spit it, which let me have fun with it. But then he hit the current and started to spool me, so I knew I had to put thethumbs to him or lose all my line and he just would turn. Meh, they'll be there next time.

Scott said "enjoy it while you can, next year I am not letting people fish on my property" as he was picking up garbage. what pissed him off the most is the smokers leaving all there cigarette butts down there. The slobs that can't pick up after there selves ruin for everyone.
Good job ff I am sure I will see you down there again this year!!

theres only a few holes at cascade that you can fish. go up, park at hatchery, follow trail down and go to the hole with 50 people. haha
