Got to Reiter right when it opened this morning. The water was super high, but there weren't very many people there so it wasn't shoulder to shoulder. Saw one guy land a pig of a hatchery fish (about 11 pounds) around 7, with just a little color to it. Saw another guy break one off downstream from me, and then it was my turn. Hooked into about a 6 lb hatchery fish, got my line stuck on a patch of semi-submerged brush, but managed to free it up. I got him in right next to the bank (if you could even call it that, it was more the spot where the trees met the water) and broke him off as I was reaching down to grab him by the gill. On the bright side, the guy just upstream of me landed a fish an hour later with my gear still in its mouth, so at least I got my hooks back. Kind of a bummer, but at least somebody got him. All in all it was quite slow, but there were definitely some fish in there, just have to work hard for them.
