hit up reiter again today, 3rd cast fish on, started peeling line like a mad man, bummed though it spat the hook at the bank, but 15 minutes later another fish on, nice chromer hooked and landed. another great day, the guys to the right of us using eggs and a float were killing it today too, and the older guys to the left of me both limited out in about an hour, so good day.

are you supposed to shank the fishes throat right after u land em?

i banked one the other day and it wouldn't stop moving around so i bonked in on the head with a pretty large boulder and it had almost no affect. maybe thats why they are called steelhead

lol i have no idea, but since i dont have a mallet or anything and couldnt find a hard stick at reiter, i just straight up punch em, you gotta get em right above the head in this sweet spot and they just die instantly, but then your hand hurts haha, yeah there tough little fellas. i just find it crazy that most smaller steelhead fight harder than some big silvers.

donater, slit the gills with your knife right after landing them and tie them on a rope. Not only will you ensure that the eggs from your hens will be perfect, but the meat will taste a lot better too. Don't bonk 'em, cut the gills and bleed 'em out.
