Fished just upstream of the Sultan mouth. Tried drifting corkies n' yarn n' sand shrimp, no luck. Then tried a pink jig tipped with a pink trout worm, no luck. Then i smothered my hands in anchovy smelly jelly and tried casting pink spoons, nada. After that i tried spin n' glow and shrimp,Bingo! Caught a juvinile steelie not even woth taking a pic of. Let him go of course! I saw an elderly couple hook into a lot of juvie steelhead. I asked what they were using and the told me spin n' glows and pink worms. Aha! So after they left, i went to there spot which was right at the Sultan mouth and fished there. I was drifting with what they were using and on the tenth cast hooked into a, maybe 3 lb fish. To bad it spit the hook. The highlight of my day was when i saw an old steelhead vet walk off with a 15 pounder. It was the most beautiful fish i have ever seen! Becides the 18 lb Coho i caught in Area 1, three years ago! Anyways, Tight lines to all (except snaggers and cheaters)! Chris the 14 year old angler.
