Had a great day today, even though i didnt catch any fish. Arived at the Sultan river mouth at about 6:30. Didnt get much action on pink corkies and yarn. So my dad tried a silver Krocodile spoon with holo scales got a bump but missed it. Probably a small trout. Then i tried drifting a pink worm, nada. Then as a last minute atempt my dad tied on a chartruse bucktail jig, no bobber. Gave it a cast, then a jig. Boom! Fish on! I hurried to grab the camcorder,as his drag was screaming. I said "To heck with the camera,I'll just watch the fight myself!" The fish jumped, I knew it was a king! Jumped again, a fifteen pounder! Then his line went slack. He said "i lost it". My dad was playing it perfectly, if you ask me it was the 10 pound cabelas-crap from last year. Next time ill spool my reels with Maxima Ultragreen.
