Sorry for the late report, fished the Puyallup on Tuesday.
Got a late start, 11 am.
Ran into a guy coming up to the parking area with 2 Coho.
He was pretty excited, it was his Birthday. : )
Asked him what he was using, he showed me.
Red Corky and Red Yarn, with 1/2 oz. cannonball weight, 8 foot leader.
So that is what I used too.
1/2 hour into it, my rig got slammed by a huge dime bright Coho.
He jumped on me 2 times, took me into fast water, and had my line peeling off my reel.
I tightened up my drag and made up some ground, when he jumped on me the 3rd time and spit my hook.
Had about 25 more bites, but no more hookups.
They destroyed my Red Corky!~
I had a great time. : )
