went to the 101 bridge again this morning and limited 4 huge cohos in less than an hour. not very many people on the river today. when i got to the wdfw parking lot the truck next to me had the drivers door open and when i got back it was still open. there was two guys that did the same thing and i gave them a jump and off they went. the driver closed the door of the toyota pickup that was left open. i also ran into a kid from bremerton that i always see at the river and gorst creek. lots of nice people at the big quill. cant wait to go back next weekend. its gorst creek for me after work untill sunday.

Outbreed, sorry I missed you I was there about 1:00 and stayed until about 5:00. Lots of hook ups but no takers, I was off on my timing to set the hook. I saw a lot of fish in the river. Many of them were chum. Can any one tell me how a buzz bomb works. It looks to me like they are only good for snagging.

ive seen buzzbombs in action and they can catch, rarely. ive never seen anyone on the quill using a buzzbomb. ive found quite a few large treble hooks with bows tied around them.

Thanks for the report OB!
Buzzbombs - I fish em in the salt, cast & jig. Cast em out (from boat or bank) let em fall - jig (rod up about 16-24") / fall (reel in slack) / jig / fall / jog / fall - they'll hit it on the fall. IMO they have no place in the rivers.
