I have been fishing this lake for years, more for the sheer beauty and lack of people, but always have marginal success. Yesterday I was out with my s.o. and we anchored up on the south side of the lake and brought in a few stockers on power nuggets. We decided to head out to the other side so i tossed in my trolling rig and head out...half way across the lake i got hit so hard i almost lost the pole not paying attention. 4 or 5 mins later after a awesome fight with three seperate runs...i had the biggest rainbow i have ever seen outa a lake. It had to have been a multi year carry-over. 22 inches long and thick as all get-out. I always knew they were in there but just never found them. Awesome night...awesome fish.
