What a fun day! We went out with Bruce Warren to learn the lower Cowlitz and have a fun day as well as hopefully catch some fish. Got up at 2:30 to meet at 5:30AM in Castle Rock.

We fished the general area, drifting a variety of offerings. Mostly Eggs and Cheaters, but also had some Yarnies and Beau Mac Eggs (like ez eggs) and yarn. We all got to catch some fish, and had a blast. Came home with 2 Kings, 1 Steelhead, and 1 Jack Nook. Released 4 more jack nooks with fins and a native steelhead, as well as a few more trout and little jack steelies too. It was an awesome day on the river with some great company.
And, I already love this end of the river as well, and will definitely be spending some more time down here in my own sled.

A bonus to the day was getting to run Bruce's 23' North River back up to the launch at the end of the day. Makes me wish I could water the Willie and have it grow a few more feet, as well as grow a tiller handle instead of the center consul. Oh well... One day!
