Well after yesterday I was chompin at the bit to get back out and redeem myself. I started out by putting on some 12lb line on instead of 8, then packed my net and all my gear.

I knew it was going to be great no matter what, because my cell phone works!!! After taking it apart and drying it out well it turned on and works just fine... Lucky me... Probably because I had it turned off yesterday when it got wet.

Anyways back to the report. So I started off at the Dent in Rent, then did a bushwack into the black, then accross the little walk bridge, under the Freeway and then back. Saw a few guys at the Dent when I was getting back to my Truck but was on the Starfire side. Other than that did not see anyone else.

Seemed much slower today then the last couple of days. Still managed my limit but certainly had to work for it. End up going 3/6. The first one was a bonk for sure since it was a biggun. Maybe around 10lbs. Caught it on a Jig doing the Coho twitch with my new color scheme. That was satisfing, then hooked up on the Jig again two more times but lost both fish.

Under the bridge I mainly use spinners since it is much more snaggy so I ran a red #5 and hooked up after a few casts, airborne and lost it. Put a bit more of an angle and bend on my Hook with the pliers and went back at it. 20 minutes or so later hooked up again, landed it but this one had a that blushy hue to it so I sent it back. Wasted another hour and decided to call it. On the walk back I snuck back into the black because I still had the itch to twitch. Spent another couple of minutes flipping and twitching. Did probably 20 of those last casts, where you tell your self this is it, last one... but it just didn't land exactly where you wanted it so you have to do "Just one more". Finally during my real last cast I got that soft little tug tug, and set it up. Number 3 was a little 5lb hen.

Picture 1: Bigger Buck, and yes without the net it would not have happened.

Picture 2: Check out the meat from yesterday. Might have got wet but that made dinner even better.!

That's a REALLY NICE fish. Looks like it squeezed right through the nets.

Dang Jim I was looking for you today briefly hoping to find a fellow twitcher out there LOL. I didn't have enough time to chase around looking much.
I'll have to grab some better material and tie up a couple longer profile jigs this weekend with some flash and pray I can find time to get out. Are those 1/4 oz? Nice job!

@losaturn , Yep it certainly had a few rubs on his sides but no gashes.
@knot , Crystal Flash!!! Mylar Flash but be sparing on the flash, lately they have started to get wary of the long flash, the boo is what you want long. I use a 1/4 oz mold but they turn out somewhere in-between 1/4 and 3/8 when I put them on a scale. I like them heavy not just so the cast further but because they are more responsive on the drop and so if you have to cast out 25 + yards then get down 10+ feet you need the weight or you will be fighting the current to get it into the right spot at the right depth.
