Kings were plentiful today and some silvers were starting to get caught too.

This Asian family I see every day I'm there was just SLAYING it today! 2-3 on the line at a time. They walked out w/a dozen fish between them.

Keys to this river:
1. If you're fishing the mouth, use roe the size of a fist and fish right by the bridge.

2. If you're upstream, try to get along the pilings where the deep water is and the fish run. Jigs with a big hook and a slight amount of fluff (yarn, feathers, hoochie). They seem to like white or light green the most.

3. Kings tap very lightly. It might feel like you rolled over a rock or a stick hit your line. If you feel ANYTHING, pull hard. The more you set, the more often you'll catch.

4. The fish only bite at low tide. The magic number is 6 feet either side (coming in or going out).

is that area by the pilings where you have to pay to fish? The mouth is free? Thanks for the report!

How far is the drive from Seattle guys? Is there a direct and clear directions to go there? Maybe an address? If you don't mind really appreciated.

I live in N.Seattle. Exactly 60 miles from my house. You pay on the West side of the river. You can fish the mouth or the pilings from either side. The pilings from the E.side of the river is further up around the next bend. Yes, it's combat fishing shoulder to shoulder every day, but if you have the right rig, you'll still catch fish. Kings like SMALL fluffy yarn or squids. Greens & whites.

Either side of the river is just as good. The pay side you walk a hundred yards less
