Got to the river at 9am and tide was out. Less fish jumping and more people fishing today. In fact, there were very few fish jumping compared to previous days. However, I did see a few go out and a few caught while I was there. I wasn't having luck in my first spot, so moved to the other side of the river and immediately hooked a nice one on a spinner about 45 minutes after I started fishing. It made a couple short runs and then sunk in behind a boulder right out in front of me. I thought I had it hooked well, but it did a couple head shakes and came unbuttoned! DARN! That was all the action I saw. Bummer I went home empty handed, but at least there was some excitement. While there I tried various spinners and jigs. Only had the one hit on a green spinner. Seemed like the corkie and yarn guys were the ones producing this morning.
