Fished the prison hole on the lower sky all day. I think i fished every single hole on that stretch of the river including all the way down to the end of the bank supporting large rocks. Caught two jacks. They were probably around 14 inches. I don't know what the minimum size was so i threw them back. I kept moving around trying to avoid as many bullhead/whitefish/trout bait stealers but every slot had a lot of them. I must have caught over 20 bait thieves today (one was a decent trout). I got the two silvers in one of the deep frog water holes near the bottom of the prison hole. I would have stayed there but i was catching a big bullhead every other cast so i moved away.

Next time im going to use some kind of very tough jello or borax cure so the bait stealers cant pull off the bait.

I think good eggs under a float is the only way to get silvers on this stretch of river right now. Ive been fishing this hole almost daily since its only 20 minutes away from my school and i have yet to see anyone else fair hook a silver yet. Water is way too clear i think.

there are a TON of little fish in that area. i fished it about a 6 weeks ago or when kings were still open and same story i caught about 15 small cutthroats in there just at the tail out after the water hits the rock walls on the corner..

pulling 2 silvers out of that is good work! :)
