9/29/2012 6:25:00 PMyes sharpen your hooks and I always set that hook as soon as you feel anything- but don't feel bad, it is very common to have that happen as the swipe at the lures and sometimes are just not hooked very well. I had one on for close to 5 minutes the other day and was finally bringing it to shore when it made a run and came unbuttoned! I run about a 4 foot leader and if using a slide sinker set it so it slides along my line with a stopper. Keep at it and you'll get 'em!
