Fished from Sultan down to Lewis. The water is very low, but a drift boat can still make it with little trouble. We launched at 6:15, very few fish rolling out front. Only one other boat out just ahead of us (and a few after). After heading down river a bit we anchored up in a deeper slot with rollers. Hooked up with a small jack, then a coho hen, then a beautiful summer steelie (all in the same spot). Kept the silver. The fishing slowed in that location so we spent the day hopping from one deep pool/slot to the next. We picked up another jack before the day was done. All fish were caught on eggs. We fished dick nites, plugs, spinners, jigs, etc. All they wanted was eggs. Also saw a number of even year pinks in the gravel beds. Tough fishing, but a good day.
