3 DAYS REPORT: Well I finally had to work a little bit for my fish these last few days up the skagit, the cold nights dropped the water even more and the bite has been a bit tougher, but i think some of it had to do with the fact that i just wasnt in the right spot early in the morning, the holes I started at wernt stacked like i would have hoped, still hit a few, but moved, found the fish, by then the sun was out and we couldnt get as many biters, next morning we went to the hole that was stacked the day before and they had moved again over night, just bad timing, hit 7 the first day and 4 the second day, still not bad coho fishin, but not easy limits in a hour like last week, getting a little spoiled over here, LOL! We used eggs exclusively, bobber dogging mostly, a little drift fishing but not so easy with the low, slow water, hangs up a bunch, will be on the samish for a few days until we get this rain theyre expecting over the weekend, YES RAIN EXPECTED! BRING IT ON!
ALSO... tried the cascade the third day, VERY few fish have made it into the river, its running below 200 cfs, incredible, record breaking low water, there were a few fish here and there but nothing special, we hit 3 in the first 20 minutes of light in my secret little pocket and not another bite until we went down the skagit, not really worth the drive until we get rain, but check out the pics, the dad and his son i took up had never caught a salmon before, and his son got a 14lb buck coho on his first cast in the cascade!
