What a great day to close out our fishing season. With a couple months of home projects and watching the grandson's play football it was time to do some fishing! The wife had the day off so I took it off too and even though I said we wouldn't fish the Pend Orielle for a couple years the wife wanted to give it one more try so up to the PO we went. We arrived at the Cusick dock around noon and headed down to one of my old hot spots down along the Usk poles. There's a good weedline down there that has always produced some nice bass in the fall and was money for me today. We managed to pull out a couple largemouth and smallmouth with the biggest largemouth at just over 5lbs. Then we headed down to Dalkena and missed one Pike and hooked another, neither was over 20 inches. Not a bad outing for a couple hours in the afternoon. See ya in the spring!
