With all the rain, I figured I should go check up at hatchery since the river is dropping. I took a look at the water color before walking all the way up and it looked decent, so off I went. I haven't been up there yet this year so I wasn't sure if I could fish, especially with the high water, but there was still a good hole. I had to go up past voights creek to cross then walk back down. I saw a few fish roll right where the main river hits the rocks so thats where I started. Right away I caught two dollies, one about 16 and the other about 14 inches. I decided to walk back around and fish the hole from the trail side. As I was walking around 3 friends showed up, all with long leaders doin the "bounce, bounce, set" routine so it was time for me to go. I went down to where the trail meets the river and fished there for a short time, but no fish.

Last season I hooked up with 3 dolleys just off cork and yarn. I caught two on the puyallup too. It would be nice if they were able to bring that fish back to population. I have heard some good fish stories about dollys from some old timers some 10-15lb stories lol. There beautiful fish.
