Had a couple hours to stop by Sky/Wallace confluence on way down from mountains. Once again, plenty of action and well worth the stop in Startup. Hit right across from Wallace-Mouth tressle parking lot on the Sky for about 45min. Got two fat on bobber w/ Maribou Orange Jig. Then i walked down to Wallace side near the mouth 45min b/f dark. Hit another one on pink corkie/yarn pencil lead on 1st cast. After that, i missed two more. A guy from CO was cool/shared his zone. He hooked up and spent over 35min trying to get an enormous one in, similar to the one i kept to smoke that was ~38" long x ~27" around. He sure was loving it! Buck snapped off about 10' in front of him.

Geez, I was fishing below the hwy 2 tressel for 2 hours and only saw one coho jump, I think a guy spew fishign upstream hooked him, I am thinking the coho run is over on the Wallace.

Please tell me I am wrong!!!

Thanks

6k coho at the hatchery, the same as last years TOTAL count.

Cheers.

Saw two coho landed on Thursday...both were rose-colored. Today, just b/f dusk, w/ massive chum rollers, saw several coho going off. Friend who fished near Sultan Mouth today said a guy hit a bright one yesterday there and another guy hit a rosy-hued one. Could be all the chum in there making it difficult to get remaining coho!
