Guys.... The day has finally come. Can I get a friggin woohoo?!!

Fished the green this morning for a few hours with the Giant Ginger & finally scored a couple! The BEST part of it is that they were both taken on a couple of my very own fancyass hand tied jigs =o) I was really starting to take this whole season personally & thought that maybe I was tying like an idiot... NOPE!

Massive thanks to everyone for all of the advise & encouragement while I've pouted the last few weeks!!

Is it bad that I made him kiss the fish? LOL

BR - S-E-R-I-O-U-S-L-Y!!! I said "last few weeks" in the report but I think we all know that it had been since the beginning of coho season... We've gone at least 3 times a week since the beginning of Sept and this was sweet sweet retribution. Thank you thank you thank you for all of the tips!

FishingThePacNW - I had no idea it would feel that damn good to get a fish on one of my own jigs! Congrats on yours =)

Yeah!!!! Great job and no, that is absolutely the right thing to do to have him kiss the fish~ it is a ritual on my boat that the 1st fish of the season gets a big smacker~~you are on your way!!

JJ... I have a confession.... I may or may not have counterfeited a few bruised hookers & a chumsicle or two to pull this off... Thanks again for the videos. I think I've supplied the fly shop with their annual sales quota & beeing tying my little heart away til the wee hours most nights. It's surprisingly therapeutic =)

Tele- It feels soooooooo good to splash the stink off! I've only been reporting on days that I was especially irritated or something goofy happened. I would say for each report there were 3 or 4 trips. That Chum better not taste like the ass that "he who shall not be named in the last comment" claims it does. We've got it all in the smoker tonight & are crossing our fingers!

Congrats! There is nothing like the first one. And, to do it with your own tying. SWEET!

Nice nothing wrong with that, get all the beta you can, HOWEVER, the Bruised Hooker has never been seen by another mortal man. I wrap it in tinfoil on the way to the river and would never take a photo of it. I think that The Hulk was in a photo you might have seen though Purp & Green another killer. I am glad your getting into it, such a great feeling to wipe of the skunk, unfortunately it usually just makes you hungry for more.
