Drifted from Whitney to hwy18 river was full of silvers and chum from top to bottom was fun water was low. River is a little hairy in spots so be careful there is a tree across the river about halfway down.

fishstick, question for you, did you pull plugs at all? If so what was the ticket? I have a few friends that I would like to run through there in my boat but they are not great at fishing and I would like to just let them sit with rods in the holder if the action were there on the plugs or divers.

makscoot that log jam is below the take out it has been there for a long time. The spot that fishstick is talking about is just below metzler I believe, a small little braided section and trees down on the corner. At least that was how it was last year but river change. Cmon fishstick lets hear what you were rollin.

From the header info, one would assume he was doing the bobber &jig tipped with shrimp since it lists tackle:jig, bait:shrimp and method:drift fishing. ;-)

Shawn - Thanks capt. Obvious. ; - p

Rarely do people drift down a river and bobber fish the whole time. Spinners, spoons and more than likely a plug or two are usually broken out at least once, that is what I was asking about. I have drifted this stretch before but never had luck on plugs so was curious to hear his take on it.
