A little late of a report but my friend and I fished the dungy by the hatchery on saturday and I went 1 for 1 with a colored buck coho about 8-9lbs that I bonked and my friend went 3 for 4 on beat up dark ones. We were using mostly beads and corkies with 3-4ft leaders and about an inch or 2 of pencil lead.
The river started out very clear but a little up then rose 6 inches and turned to brown when we were there so it is probaly punched now. Only saw one other good looking silver caught and no steelhead reported either. Hatchery pond had a couple thousand fish in it so the run is wrapping up. Good Luck!

Hey not bad, it seems to be the same story every year, hatchery pond is stuffed but the river has slim pickings. I fished down at the woodcock st. hole for hours last Sunday and only saw a few chum. WDFW needs to open it up earlier like in September!

yeah every year I noticed happens to be like that, we used to fish the dike a lot but it seems like the coho just shoot right past that making better fishing above 101. Except this year I think the pond only had about 200 at opening day so they did run a little late this year.

8-9 pounds? I would think about calibrating my scale.

it was 7.6lbs gutted so around 8 to 9lbs with guts still in it. Nice girthy fish just not too many of them left though.

Red beard..River has slim pickings? Not really, caught 29 this year and it's been a slow year on the river. I wish it would open october 1st, but its closed to let kings spawn, and probably to keep whats left of the summer run steelhead from being caught. Nice fish by the way bonker.

thanks blake, not as good as some of the fish that you were pulling out though. Unless you are a local or fish it a lot, it is a hard river to catch fish in.
