Well, you guys have been asking for pictures, I figured this was a good day to put some up. We had a stellar day on the Sky, we went 3/9 on nice steelhead. Lots of hookups, lots of current for them to play with.

First fish of the day got tangled on the reel and broke off, and we had a bobber swimming around keeping use company for a while. Hopefully someone will catch him, I'm sure the guys at the hatchery will get a kick out of that otherwise.

Had a few LDR's on some nice bright chrome too, worked the river all day and ended up taking home three fish, two chrome bucks and a rosy male, not a bad day at all.

We managed three nice fish on the Skykomish yesterday as well, but not nearly as many chances as we had today. Was a great day to steelhead, not too cold, a little bit of rain and little cloudy.

We tested out my new rod on these fish, a beautiful custom built rod from NW Rods by Dave, and this thing was fantastic! Sensitive, ultra-light with more backbone than I could imagine getting put into such a smaller package. Gary Loomis' new North Fork Composite blanks put the competition to shame. Talk about control on the water.

We were fishing the lower sections of the river, worked our way up to Reiter where we hooked the last fish of the day. We've got a couple weeks left in the season on the Sky, and they should be pretty good if this keeps up.
