OK, this is kind of a backposting, but I thought id post it in here for review! Ill preface it first by saying I used a wide angle on the video so yes, the fish seems smaller than it was....(yeah, I can hear you all now...hahahahaha)
Got to the river early, the morning was drizzlely but not too intolerable. The crowd wasn't too bad, couple of us working together to not totally combat it out! I had tried floating the closest seems in for about an hour gradually moving outward on the seam and I had been adjusting my float and leader length a bit and set it long and snagged up.backtighted the drag and pulled free(more on this later). Well, working the holding area just behind the well known boulder stretch. I decided to move it out to the next stretch and after a few passes I noticed my float hesitate for a split second and so without a rip set of my hook, I gave it more of a quick raise and saw my float go full under. I set the hook and immediately realized I hadn't reset my drag.....while negotiating my footing and focusing on the line tight, I had to adjust the drag again and I finally got it right. I was moving down off my rock and of course slipped, but not off my footing! anyhow, I get lucky and my fish takes a run back to me and more or less settles in the little cove out sandy area. Easy slide on the bank and done!
