Well, as ive been saying all year, it been TOUGH for steelhead. Real change from last year, fish seemed to be everywhere. Anyways, got my drift boat, and felt comfortable doing the lower Hoh, so made a few trips with some guys, and although fishing is still WAY slower than it should be, we found some nice native steelhead, and broke a fish off that was WELL into the 20lb class.

If you wanna get out and experience the coast steelhead, give me a call, i can make it out there if I have more than one day lined up with clients. Dont come with the super high expectations that you would expect for the coast, its not like that this year. Still some fish tho, and a few monsters to tangle with also! Good luck out there everyone!

The hatchery fish aren't marked the same way on several of the coastal rivers. Plus, you can still keep 1 native per year from these rivers if you are so inclined.
