So we were planning on floating the Nooch today but at the last minute, my friends truck wouldn't start so we called an audible and went to plan B which was to hit the Skook. Got to the river at daybreak and headed to the spot Nate showed us on my guided trip with him ( sorry Nate that we beat you to the hole!)

First cast, my buddy yells "bobber down!" and it was fish on! After a few runs and an attempt to go around the roots below us I was able to coax the beauty into the net while hanging over a log. Nice little 7lb hen which ended up having eggs which was a bonus as she looked a little skinny at first.

The rest of the day we worked our way downstream and in one hole had a guy below us have one grab his shrimp after it just fell off his hook. We heard the splash then the #%$^* comment so figured he missed it! lol

We had one more shot at one as I think it bumped into my buddys hook because it splashed and pulled his line but no hook up!

Went up to the terminal area to check it out and lots and lots of people but no fish and the report was the ones that were caught were dark. Called it a day at 1pm just as the rain started to all in all a good day for us.

Next Saturday I will be floating the Nooch so hopefully will have another successful post! See you on the water!

Oh and couldn't resist taking a shot of the local Beavers latest work on our way out of one of the holes! Looked like fresh work so they have been some busy beavers! lol

Thanks schu~ I felt pretty fortunate my buddy was able to bonk one after seeing no one else with a fish yesterday~ that beaver work was cool!
good luck fishindude! it should be getting better and better and BB, just about every hole looked fishy yesterday as the river was in perfect shape but just not a lot of takers. I think the night glow ballers are getting quite a few before us non-nocturnal fisherpeople can get out there! lol

@fishindude~ the deadline is at the end of the road, park and then walk up towards the spillway. You will see where you can't fish anymore and that is it.
