Tough start to the year with one dark fish on Tokul in January, but stopped at Wynoochie several times in the past two months for a few hours here and there no action on any trip but one whitefish....today looked to be the same, fished White Bridge area, did some hiking and found a few nice guys that left the spot to me alone.......tried most tactics I could think of , no takers....was gonna leave around 11, then tied a spoon on for the heck of it, letting it swing.......was near a lot of trees though and I knew landing would be a challenge...third cast, fish on.......big fish on, fought 5-7 min 3-4 complete out of water jumps, was getting it close to me....but was nowhere near done....one more close to 5' in the air jump 10' in front of me, chrome bright ....you all know the rest.....off it went, but what an awesome fish, won't guess the weight, but given its length, was a teener....made it worthwhile taking those trips, learned a lot about a great fishery, the boat folks are probably more consistently hitting fish, but fun to find a spot and have some action....
